Congratulation to the sweepstakes winners of my debut novel THEY’RE AMONG US:
Jennifer Herman of Missouri
Michelle Speas of Idaho
Denise Carlson of California.
What started it all you ask? Well, I told you the story of my sighting when I was a young boy. That got me curious about alien life, but it wasn’t really the inspiration for my book. What got me to thinking about writing THEY’RE AMONG US is the explosion of technology that we have see over the past 100 years. I’m actually not that big on conspiracies, but, the possibility that alien technology is behind some of the advances mankind has made, all with the knowledge of the worlds government, must be considered.
I started writing THEY’RE AMONG US in 2014. With no experience in writing novels, I started jotting down notes in a composition book. As I haphazardly went along with the story, I started viewing the story as if it were a movie. Doing this helped me tremendously with the flow of the story. From there, I learned how to being characters to “life”. I actually didn’t start out with a war between the Cereleans and Promelians. I thought about using Roswell, but I wanted something new; something with twist to it. Later, I started structuring and organizing the story. My haphazard approach gave way to a planned and organized direction.
I had a two year delay in publishing my book due to some personnel issues. While I hate that I’m two years behind schedule in publishing my first novel, I’m very excited that I finally got it published. Barring any setbacks, I plan to have part two complete by December 2018. Several people that have read my book tell me that they can’t wait for the movie. That was the affect I was hoping to get. If you read THEY’RE AMONG, please feel free to leave a comment on my website. I would love to hear from you.
